All Hail The White Green Yonder

Summer tunes

Posted by: farahhanani on: April 30, 2009

Tried my best to find Youtube videos with no music videos, just the music. This post is for Aizat Mokhtar, for your upcoming birthday. I find the MV’s distracting, i would rather readers enjoy them while doing other chores. All of this chosen music of the day has one common denominator. Guess what? Use your Googling abilities to find out.

I listened to Dj “Nanee” just now. What a nice tunes (what happen to Satu Perjuangan?) haha

Hey hey, i STILL have all the albums In-Team dgn Brothers tau. Kaset ori ok. Siap hafal lirik buat mini concert with siblings inside the house. Zaman cassette-radio gabak-walkman Sony 90-an.

Dj Nanee, what nice pimped up name of mine.

Wow I actually like some of these songs @.@ (Not to say I expected that I wouldn’t like them, but they are a pretty random assortment pour moi, see? XD) For lack of time, I could only check Gramercy Arms, The Rescuers and Ra Ra Riot – really nice numbers, and I’m not just saying this because I’m being nice, light alternative music that I haven’t heard in a long time (mostly because I don’t listen to the radio). They all conjure up images of nice sunny days in JB, rindu lol. Phantom Planet has nice drumworks, but otherwise is a bit iffy for me.

Canadian indie bands, I take it? But Cake isn’t, is it?

Not canadian indie bands but glad you liked it. :)
Hint: Three key words: TV , spy and the letter C. Maybe if i throw out “Mr Roboto” by Styx people could have guessed more easily. Hm.

My personal fav will be Cake, Ra Ra Riot, The Thermals, Frightened Rabbit and Blind Pilot in order of preference. I have no idea how good Ra Ra Riot is. I kinda randomly listen to their songs in Youtube, to me theyre just bleh. I find that their music is a bit messy, like trying to fit in everything inside ( with the cello and violin stuff.) See, i have peculiar regime in picking music. I dont quite bother whos singing, im more interested in the song itself actually. So this ones pretty balanced.

Ra Ra Riot ada violins – is their album good? Their sound I like, seems like it’s worth a try

AAH! CHUCK! betul tak betul tak? I’ve been trying to figure it out since you posted this, if you hadn’t given the clue would have never figured it out. itu pun google did all the work :p

I think my favourites are “Can You Tell” (the lyrics that connote love and devotion appeal to my sentimental side, heh), and The Hives’ “Try it Again”(love the drums and the heavy riffs,it makes me want to move around and dance bodoh2, whoo!).

Awwww ateqs. You know deep in my heart, if theres anyone who bother and care enough to find out to get the correct answer ,i always thought that you will be one of them . Thank you for confirming my thought.

yes it is Chuck, the little spy show that could. This show is one of the most balanced show ive ever seen, the comedy genuinely clever, the drama surpsisingly genuine and the characters lovable plus great soundtrack!. Although the plot can be so big you could drive a truck in it, if ure lookin to watch something thats just pure , concentrated fun, watch this. Then you can prepare your mental with other hair puling shows like, Lost, or Heroes, or whatnots.

Ateqs, wohhooo, i think i owe you air ke ape.

HAhahaha I don’t even know what show Chuck is XD Saya sangat kuat tidak tgk TV, and kalau kuat pun, I kind of doubt they show it here in NZ. So this is where you got this assortment of songs I suppose? Chuck, I like you very much lol.

Am sampling Ra Ra Riot at the moment, and bloody hell do I like Can You Tell =) The Blur-Fleet Foxes hybrid sound is the shiznit, that booming drumwork. Music aside, though, the song is too short and does come off as a bit shallow =/ But yeah, thanks anyway for allowing us to make acquaintance with each other, I hope me and RRR can look forward to lots of happy years together in the future!
